From The Chronicles of Death "Fear of Darkness" Darkness falls silent and cold here. It stops to see me from time to time. Then I shed a lonely, fearful tear. Darkness knows what's on my mind. I tell myself it's only darkness. I'm the one who has to beware. It's the fear I have to harness. Fear that I alone shall bear. In the inky blackness of night, when terror is calling on me. I'll have to conquer this' my fright, of the "terrible things," I cannot see. When darkness finally comes to call, it's my wretched fear I fear the most! Coming in through cold, cold walls, slowly approaching me, I see a ghost!
