The Real Life

Some people believe that having riches, education, beauty, or a good paying job
constitutes the "real life." While others believe that being a great athlete, husband or wife defines the "real life," but according to the Bible the "real life" is "everlasting life." However, "everlasting life" was almost lost for us.

How It All Started

God created the man and placed him in the garden of Eden. Genesis 2:7 Jehovah God, told the man that "From every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction," but from the tree of knowledge of good and bad you must eat from it for in the day that you eat from it you will positively die" (Genesis 2:16-17, New World translation of The Holy Scriptures).

According to, (Genesis 2:21) later Jehovah created the woman. The Bible goes on to say that

"The woman was deceived by the serpent that came to her and
began to say to her, It it really so that God said you must not eat from every
tree of the garden?" At this the woman said "Of the fruit of the trees of the
garden we may eat, but as for eating of the fruit of the tree that is in the middle
of the garden, God has said, "You must not eat from it, no you must not touch it
that you do not die" (Genesis 3:1, 3: 2-4).

The serpent told the woman that she wouldn't die. It said that God only told her that because He knew that if she ate from the tree of knowledge of good and bad that her eyes are bound to be open and that she would be like God knowing good and bad. The deception here is that the "serpent" told Eve that God had lied to her. She ate of the fruit and gave some to her husband and he ate. Immediately their eyes were open and they knew that they were naked and sewed leaves together to cover themselves. What a sad reality that must have been for the both of them ((Genesis 3:6-7).

They disobeyed God and brought sin into the world. That act would also cause their offspring (us) to born with sinful natures. consequently, the result of their disobedience caused them to banished from the garden forever. In addition, that's why there is wickedness and suffering in the world. If it wasn't for that act of disobedience, there would not be crime, sickness, death, man ruling over us through government officials, or hate in the world. However, It seemed like all was lost, but God made a way.

The Way Back To God

According to, (St. John 3:16) God loved us so much that he made a way for everlasting life to be a reality once more. This would be provided through His son Jesus. St.John 3: 16 and Romans 10;8-11 lets us know that the way to Jehovah (God's name)(Psalms 83:18)and to have everlasting life is through his son. In addition, St. John 17:3 says that, "We must take in accurate knowledge of Jehovah and his son if we are to have eternal life. These two commanments are vital if we are to gain everlasting life. By taking in accurate knowledge, we learn how God wants us to live. In other words, we must live by God standards and not our own.

Judgement and Resurrection

Because of Adam and Eve's sin, we all must die once, be ressurected, judged, and then everlasting life. Ressurection, what does it mean? To some it means "reincarnation," the Greek word translated "resurrection" literally means "A standing up again" and it refers to "rising from death." In the Hebrew it means "revival of the dead" (WatchTower Bible and Tract Society: Reasonings From the Scriptures 1985,1989,p. 333).

According to, (Acts 24:15)

"There is going to be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous" and
St.John 5:28-29 states: "Do not marvel at this ...all those in the memorial
tombs will hear his voice," and verse twenty-nine declares: "And come out,
those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile
things to a resurrection of judgement." God leaves it up to us to make the
choice, whether we're going to do good or bad."

He (Jehovah) loves us and want us to do the right thing, but the choice is ours.

Love,
