Spring Fevers

Symbolic gentleness arouses feelings that slumbered,
Passing winter blues make way for balmy days,
Riotous daffodils dance, are no longer encumbered,
Inside their bulbs, gladly golden heads they raise.
Nest building, feathered couplings, above in the trees,
Gambolling lambs gladden hearts, delightfully please.

Fields tender and lovely in their soft coverings of green,
Easy on the eye; hopefuls walk holding hands,
Virile youths, with lusty thoughts, in gatherings now are seen,
Each one wants to find someone who understands,
Romantic doe-eyed girls that choose them as the one,
Spring fevers are reborn under a warming sun.
