Lives are always on the line every day. All badges are targets worn by the brave. When the call comes they will not run away. Each knows no Batman will come from his cave. Never heroes, they're just doing their jobs, Fighting evil on a daily basis, On the road or when the bad gunman robs, Riding insults and being called racists. Citations keeping the streets much safer. Everyone agrees until they get one. Must they ticket me? Go stop a caper! Each day they bear it all, it can't be fun. Not a rosy time, they weather the storm. This I learned putting on the uniform.
