Abandonment

At first I thought it was caring
at least the friend kind.
Now I see it was just a sharing;
a passage of time.

I look at that Someone I care for
and only see the back of his head.
There’s no way it could get worse anymore;
I wish I were dead.

Being alone I’m used to,
being uncared for is normal.
But this I cannot do;
this is the last straw.

My last tear has fallen
my last hope is gone
all my dreams and fears have callen;
and now this is done.
