A call from life

I have heard them all,
heard them all say -
there's nothing in this world
that will forever stay.
A naked truth, yet awkward,
more I think about it
more I find myself afar.
Now let me make a wish,
let me ask God a bit-
isn't this life meant to live?
then why does it all have to finish,
why is life a momentary bliss.

I have heard them all,
heard them all say-
make the most of life
for you have nothing but today.
Life still is not too short,
the whole world waits for you to explore:
until all ends you need not abort.
Now let me engulf the fortunes of these times,
fall deep into these eternal shines
let me cherish those joyous days;
sing along those lovely old rhymes,
touching the glory of the divine.

I have heard them all,
heard them all say-
life is just another hell
where happiness stays away.
Yea the things are getting harder,
voices getting louder,
if only I could escape farther....
Now let me just wait,
wait for the dark clouds to break,
let me face this merciless hate;
unconsciousness feels too great-
but alas! I keep lying awake.

I have heard them all,
and I have heard enough-
this life is merely a bluff;
again and again silence told me itself
the insignificance of this material stuff;
were it just to live,we'll hope to die
and when death beckons
I have heard them cry.
Something's missing, everyone thinks,
light one more candle,
others dim.
So- you ask me do I
wish to live or die
you know even I'll myself lie.
