THE SECRET OF MY POEMS
When friends ask me: “ What is your
Secret of poetry?
What is your inspiration?
Whence rhyme and symmetry?”
I say when my heart sings a
Happy or plaintive song,
On its own it is then that
My poems come along.
That is why they have a rhyme
And have a certain flow.
If they are from the heart, then
Only to hearts they go.
I say that my poems are
Written without forethought.
My poems are nothing but
Sad feelings and tears hot.
It’s when those tears fall on a
Crumpled sheet of paper,
They shape into a poem,
Poet’s only treasure.
