The Milky Way whirls,
And bits of stars twirl Down upon you In your sleep; Strange animals dance, They laugh and they prance On starry paths In your dreams; Aardvarks and tigers, Echidnas and bears, Green-eyed giraffes Play and sing; They sing their sweet song Until night is gone, Then fade away On dawn’s wings. Written for the Minus Vowel Contest, April 1st, 2005
