Animals in my dreams
Playing in star streams Dance the starry paths Within my dreams; Strange animals they are, Tigers and aardvarks, And green-eyed giraffes With jeweled wings. By ancient lanes they tred, By ancient paths they dance, With jeweled wings they fly Within my dreams; And stars their magic sprinkle As they shine and twinkle, ‘Til the stars will fade When daybreak sings.
