You Can't Control Me
My relathionship and pain with my mother

You Can’t Control Me

A mother you are suppose to be
An image of what I hope to never be

Never there when I need you
Always there when I don’t

I hate you for leaving me
I hate you for not knowing your child

A title you have taken
One you can’t understand

You take it with pride
In confusion you claim it as yours

A mother you aren’t
I blame you for my life

Raised by my sister
It should have never been

The pain you caused and don't understand
A void you left unfilled

A hatred burning throughout me
I hurt myself because you hurt me

Everything I do I hate
Blaming it on you

You left me alone and scared
I turned into something I never should have

I blame you when I am at fault
You hurt me I know but I am my own person

You can strip my childhood and innocence
But nothing more

I am my own person
You can’t have that
