Today I picked flowers
And placed them In lovely little vases On the table. How bright and cheerful The blooms, And delicately scented. I smiled to see them Sitting there so bravely As I left to do the shopping. When I came home The flowers were strewn Willy-nilly across the table top And every drop of water was gone I laughed to see how Artfully The kittens had rearranged them I wish I had Been there To share their joy.
