Upon the hour
deep midnight arrives,
and in the darkness glows
amber eyes.
Here she waits
for him.
A meeting forbidden
by mortal man.
Fingertips to fingertips
hands entwined
"Come" he whispers
"I know what you are" she sighs.
"Come" he says again
"Come and be my dark bride."
So tempted is she
to be with him.
"I can't" she says pathetically...
He pulls her close
and in the moonlight
they appear to be
one.
She is under his spell.
So in love is she, he
kisses her deep.
Surrendered she did.
Then he claimed her
with a fanged grip.
He drains away her past
to the future he brings.
"mine" he growls, "now till
the very end"
She thinks
'I belong to him'
The wind blows.
The air shimmers.
Now they are gone.
Him and his dark bride.
She now exists only for him.
Now till the end of time.
