Country/folk music
I want to send my dad an email, Want to tell him that I’m fine… I want to send my dad an email, Oh why aren’t the angels on line? Everybody’s got a computer, Everybody’s on the net… So why isn’t heaven online yet? I want to tell him all about the kids, How I’m takin’ care of mom, I even know his address- It’s dad@heaven.com. I want to send my dad an email, Want to tell him that I’m fine… I want to send my dad an email, Oh why aren’t the angels on line? I want to tell him he’s a great grand dad, His granddaughter had a son, And his slugger’s playing ball for real And last night, his team won. I want to ask him where he left the darts, That last night we played a game, Oh, I‘d really like to play again Even tho’ it won’t be quite the same. Everybody’s got a computer, Everybody’s on the net… So why isn’t heaven online yet? I want to tell him ‘bout Mom’s surgery, How she’s gone back to work again And how she talks about him everyday— Oh dad, remember when? Remember when I was little Mayhap four or five And you put me on your shoulders And I’d reach up to touch the sky- Oh I know you’re out there somewhere, I keep looking for your star, So twinkle brightly for me, dad So I’ll know where, in Heaven, you are. I want to send my dad an email, Want to tell him that I’m fine… I want to send my dad an email, Oh why aren’t the angels on line? Everybody’s got a computer, Everybody’s on the net… So why isn’t heaven online yet? (slower) I want to send my dad an email I want to say I love him still… I want to send my dad an email… Perhaps, someday, I will. ***** This song has been recorded and is presently being sung in the New England area...maybe someday some country music person will hear it and want it....
