While You Roam
A poem inspired by my love Ronnie

While You Roam

While you roam
I sit home
Where words swarm
Like angry bees
With no peace
And gone is my beau
I lie here keeping your bed warm
From the night’s storm
As the winds blow
And the trees bow
When the ravens crow
Once again I will be
By fate’s decree
Alone in the coward’s refrain
Cutdown in my prime
Singled for all time
