Deep Within The Days
By Arwen Evenstar

Within this soul’s familiarity
Lying deep within the days
Of solitude’s dark night

Sleepless
Embraced by ghosts
Of insomniac delusions

Illusions of light
Play upon shadow
Creating images of mind dreams

A memory played
Of past goodbyes
In moments of fleeting mist

Standing
In faded dream-like memory
With eyes glazed

A ghost of former beauty speaks
Within scattered mind
.“Arwen” it whispers

Echoing through these halls
Of hollowed memory
Beloved and nearly forgotten

Renews within me
Forgotten rain
Of tears past

Endless torrents flow
Like a river
Cried from blinded eyes

Pain filled flood
Of grief stricken words
Pour from mute lips
“I miss you”
Is their endless curse
