A Twist of Fate By a cruel twist and turn of fate Time is neither here or now. Getting older and older while we wait We are but actors in mid- bow. Over and over in continuous play The same journey year after year A labor of love has gone far astray. What's left is not entirely clear? Seems the answer was always there. The soft sirens song we can feel Life can be so blind and unfair. Was it a dream or was it for real? Love and fate go hand in hand Like old stories of horse and cart. Throughout life we wear a brand, The one worn on all of our hearts. Our time winds down in the end. Survivors so battered and numb Through it all we're able to mend Time and fate had their final run.
