YESTERDAY’S NEWSPAPER
If I were a newspaper That is old, of yesterday, I would only these few words To myself just have to say: “Why regret you are not fresh? Even now you are lovely. You are still the storehouse of Lots of knowledge orderly. Events of yesterday are No less important today. Present is built on the past Past is rock, present is clay. Present is so uncertain, Undone by moments future! Past is certain, resolute; Permanence is its feature. Why regret that you are now No longer a fresh story? You are now indelible Part of human history”. * Written in abcb 7-7-7-7 format * Awarded Honourable Mention in “If I were…..” contest--"Take My Phrase, Please: Round 26" M C Gupta Created: 11 April 2005
