When the Moment Came
For me it was about building, revealing layer by layer, trusting that each new discovery would make the core stronger. You said it was about honesty, trust and lack of expectation. I believed you. When the moment came that you said there was no bridge that our love could not get us across, I thought you meant it. When the moment came that I said I trust enough, I love enough, I feel safe enough to give all of me, you pulled away. You say that all must have been revealed before. All needed to be confessed for me to be trusted. You say that you cannot be sure that I will not reveal more of me. I thought life was a process of discovery. You said I was strong. You said I was beautiful. You said that you loved me deeply and true. You say that you love me still. Love does not reward honesty with rejection. When the moment came...
