Lamentation of Laundry
Sensual poem

I do not like the smell of fresh clean sheets
That bright smile you wore was deceiving
I can feel it every time my pulse leaps
The same thing I felt as you were leaving

The cold water wore out my favorite scent
More credits adieu to that hussy downtown
I never questioned the places you went
Tears cascade down arid cheeks to stain my satin gown

Tumble dry now these fragrance trapping covers
I long no more for your putrid perspiration
Memories gone of lacerated lovers
Sensual freedom brings my nostril's elation

I expunge your existence from my lone domain
Within impotent covers lies one heart's disdain
