Night Stalker. By Martin McColl

As evening draws
I stop and pause
To dwell on all
That's been my toll
And murmur.

As night skies darken
I embark on
Journeys to
Another park
And watch there.

As moonlight shines
I now entwine
Another soul
In to my life
And celebrate.

When darkness falls
It comes across
That life and death
Are nothing more
Than rumours.

As daylight breaks
It comes so clear
That nothing here
Was placed to make
It easy.

When morning comes
It scalds my face
And sends me to
my hiding place
By my self

So to myself I grant
Eternal ecstasy
And to myself I grant
Perpetual 'sucker'
And to those others
For time beyond eternity
I grant a million lives just like my own.
