5/4/05 - I gave this award because I know just how this feels. The way the author portrays her emotion is sincere, and true straight to the heart. That's why the poem deserves this award.
4/18/06 - There isn't enough that I can say about this poem. I love poems about nature, and this one struck me as one the best that I've read. The imagery is incredible!!
5/07/06 - I love the ocean, and lately poems written about the sea or contain images of such have struck me. This poem captured that for me, making me feel like I was drifting out at sea. I was moved by the words.
7/03/06 - I was shown this poem by the poet to illustrate a point she was making, and I was awestruck. Personifying the oak and ivy, giving them character while at the same time presenting nature...all while using a strict poetic form without flaw. An incredible piece.
7/16/06 - I came upon this poet's port from a fun summer activity, and when I read this poem it touched me like you would not believe. Her thinking and feeling (actually, can't forget seeing...after all, it's eyes, mind, and heart), portrayed nice in the short but meaningful poem.
11/6/07 - This poem struck a chord with me, and not just about the subject matter. The flow and rhymes fit really well and really express the romance and sensuality of the lovers in the poem.
1/12/08 - I love poems about rain, and after reading this one, done in a unique form, I was definitely inspired. The poet's use of "liquid sunshine" was new to me and I thought it was very well done.
