Existence

What is the reason for our existence?
This is the question we all face.
The one that's asked every single day,
why we exist and exit without a trace?

The answer may dwell deep inside us all,
in our soul and every inch of our being.
Maybe it'll come in the spring or late fall,
as a great revelation or a tiny bee sting.

It could be in a selfless moment of bravery,
or in an act of unshakable faith and love.
Maybe it will be in a lonely soul saved,
or hit us like a lightning bolt from above.

Could it be we exist for no known reason,
for some special gift we should embrace.
We search for it throughout the seasons,
the answer that puzzles the human race.

Who are we and why are we really here?
A timeless question asked by the seers,
through the many millennium of years.
The answer so far away and yet so near.
