I Wonder
One decision can last a lifetime.

You came to me in need;
I ignored the signs.
Our time together was over,
my dance card full.
I didn't have the energy,
or the heart to go round again.
So I said no, and shut the door,
choosing to save myself.
I wasn't there to stop you,
because I was hiding behind the door.
The bullets spun in the chamber
and this time, one had your name on it.
Now I live on, wondering...
What would have happened had I danced again?
