Good Bye My Dear Ziggy

Tonight I had to have my darling Ziggy put to sleep. It was one of the hardest tasks I have ever had to do.

Ziggy was a beautiful cat, I am not sure of her breed, but she was often taken to be a racoon. She had beautiful long fur which she was proud to keep groomed. She was kind and gentle, but most of all she was loyal and loving.

Ziggy had lived in three or four homes before she came to mine. Two of the families moved, one to Ontario and the other to Florida. When I was approached and asked if I would take her I felt like saying no. I knew when the time came to let her go it would be hard, yet when she meowed and jumped in my arms, she had captured my heart, and the heart of the family. She was here to stay. I have had her for nine years. She was over 19 years old.

I was away for two weeks and received a call from my son telling me that Ziggy was ill...there was nothing that could be done for her. I told my son to keep her comfortable until I got home. As soon as I seen her I knew the time had came for her to depart.

I took her to the vet tonight and followed through with what they suggested, Ziggy breathed her last breath. I brought her home and buried her in my yard. I will plant flowers there tomorrow.

Ziggy we all loved you, I thank you for being my pet, companion and being the beautiful lady that you were. You were brave right up until the end. I will always treasure your precious memories..and yes Ziggy I am so very very sad that you are no longer a part of our family.

The Precious Treasured Memories Of Ziggy Will Live On!

Thank you VB is catching up for the lovely awardicon on this tribue to Ziggy's memory.
