Following dreams
and never reaching them

Avg Rating: (3)
She's lost herself on the path of recklessness.
A trail leading to confused minds
and tortured souls
she finds herself shivering
goose-pimpled under the boiling sun
her heart pounding blood through her so fast
she just knows
that within seconds
she will explode

Her eyes have darkened with the rise of day
and like a shadow in the night
she is just as unseen
as every emotion
every feeling
every life
she has ever felt

She spent her life following dreams
grasping the untouchable
until she realized she had become nothing more
than nothing at all
and she found herself lost in a world
between good and evil
which never really existed anyway.

And it wasn't until her heart stopped
pounding quite so excessively
that she calmed her aching veins
and warmed her sunburnt skin
slowly she gathered herself from the recklessness
and turned her back on her goal
accepting the fact that
she could never hold a dream.
