LOOK FOR ANOTHER DATE
We have been dating for long, And now we must decide, Whether we can together For a long term abide. It may surprise you to know My final decision. Hope that you don’t think I am Acting without reason. I think that our attitudes Are rather different. I am too much rooted while You are truly vibrant. Love is sex in your parlance For me, it’s tenderness. Faithfulness, understanding, Do love truly harness. Sex is important for love But it can’t be the base. This is a reality Which you don’t want to face? One day I will lose my charm, I won’t have sex appeal. In that case I don’t know what About me, you will feel. No, I think it’s better you Look for another date. Only so far, this friendship Was slated in our fate. • Written in abcb 7-6-7-6 format M C Gupta 14 May 2005
