Sediment
Even a coral reef needs something to hold onto...

Avg Rating: (9)
A coral reef submerged below the sea,
Colorful and fragile; Sustaining life
Unseen, underwater creatures
The coral is depended on
So life does not perish.

Rainbow-colored animals
Fasten onto something delicate
Making them feel secure…
Likewise is my heart,
Attached to someone like you.

Surface waters don’t reflect,
The turbulent heartbeats, as
Confidence and despair swim
Churning up sediment of doubt,
Mixed with feelings of security.

In a watery world of relationships,
A fish needs to express his faith.
Believing in one another
And letting nothing pollute
Fluidity of their feelings.
