Gypsy Rhythms
A companion Pantoum poem, written to complement a friend's Pantoum...

Calling gypsy rhythms forth from spirit laden drums;
Legs in kick-step glory, flashing dancer forms a blur.
Sunlit silver bells, tied in jingles to her nimble thumbs;
Handstand: blue-black hair a water faeries’ soft allure.

Legs in kick-step glory, flashing dancer forms a blur.
Arms, a graceful waterfall of motion into meditation;
Handstand: blue-black hair a water faeries’ soft allure
Giving pause and rise to breathless heart-stop hesitation

Arms, a graceful waterfall of motion into meditation;
Eyes that catch and pull....her silky golden threads...
Giving pause and rise to breathless heart-stop hesitation;
My soul seduced before it recognizes her and duly weds.

Eyes that catch and pull... her silky golden threads...
Sunlit silver bells, tied in jingles to her nimble thumbs;
My soul seduced before it recognizes her and duly weds,
Calling gypsy rhythms forth from spirit laden drums.
