A Mother's Song

Sing to me,
Tell me a tale,
Give me something
To make me smile.
I'm bored.

Sing to me,
So I feel loved,
And know you're there
When out of sight.
I'm lonely.

Sing to me,
Hold me tightly,
Gently rock me,
To help me sleep.
I'm tired.

Sing to me,
So I may learn
To be like you,
When I grow up.
Mother.
