Patience
Patience is a virtue, but how can you fight your own desire?

Longing to have now, what we have not earned.
Debt abounds to choke us, true wealth spurned.

We seek answers, asking why we should wait.
Can we fix our past blunders, or is it too late?

We may stomp our feet and think we know best,
But will our decisions stand the long test?

Weighing pros and cons, hoping that will work,
But from what source do our thoughts perk?

What benefit do we have to grab ahold of sand,
When the good Lord tells us wait, take My hand?

How do we know when the Lord is at our ears?
Follow His commands, and avoid senseless tears.

If it is against His Word, do not follow through.
Be cautious, and wait, whatever others do.

YAHveh loves you; He would never steer you wrong.
His love endures forever, patient and strong.

His love is merciful and filled with grace.
Stay steady, step lively, look ahead to His face.

It is not your past that seals your future fate,
Repent now, and be filled with peace, not hate.

You can start over, your slate clean and clear,
But do not take for granted, His love being near.

Patience is a fruit we long to hold in close
Surrender to the Holy Spirit for a healthy dose.

It cannot be obtained with selfish desire.
What we want, we grab now, willing to conspire.

Seek and you will find it where you do not look.
The Comforter wants to fill you, but you forsook.

Surrender all, and your anger will subside,
A powerful wind and a dormant mind collide.
