Time & M. Space
Does time fit in M. space?

TIME & M. Space

In my article, Light speed & M. Space, I mentioned ‘time’. Time as a dimension rather than a concept. A reviewer asked if I planned to write more on the subject. I said I would…if I could find the time. (couldn’t resist that)
          M. Space is hard to get ones head around…Our universe as a thin sheet of energy? We know it’s not thin. After all, we can look out at it…It goes on forever in all directions…Right?

Enter, ‘time’. The past is gone forever; therefore it doesn’t exist. The future isn’t here yet; therefore it doesn’t exist. The ‘NOW’ is an incredibly thin separation, between two things that don’t exist. We, and our Membrane Universe, live in that NOW.
Then how is it that we can see so far?
Let’s say we are standing at one end of a long table. An array of items are scattered down the length of it. We can see them all…or can we? Let’s turn out the lights…pitch dark…what do we see now? Not a lot.
So let’s turn on a light. But one that sends an incredibly thin beam across the table. What do we see? Again, not a lot. In fact we would not be able to identify any object on the table. It would only be a squiggly line.
Enter…’TIME’. Time doesn’t stand still; it continually moves forward. So let’s start that light rotating. The beam travels down the table, up the far wall, across the ceiling, and back down to the table. Now let’s rotate that light at the speed of light.
What do you see now? The ‘NOW’, as it WAS when the light beam passed it.
Therefore, our lack of perception is not the fault of the M. universe. It’s the fault of our brain and how it interprets what it thinks it sees. By the time a photon bounces off an object, slams into our eyes, sends an image traveling up the optic nerve to the brain, where it's shunted through the many synoptic pathways to be recognized…it’s ancient history.

Are you thoroughly confused yet?…I am; and it’s my article…go figure.
