Another Death

         Another Death

Twisted wreck of creator’s purpose
Fit for naught but recycler’s fire,
Somber monument of careless haste
Ere endless list of daily tasks retire;
Reminder that looks can still deceive,
Not every stress can be applied.
For not all are fit to ease our way
For labor saving measures tried
No matter that we’re rushed and weary
And wish for leisure that we lack
How many reminders will we need
that plastic goes on the top rack?
