Alone
A poem for single people.

All alone in this narrow hallway,
I enjoy the serenity around me.
All my worries have run out.
And today, I feel as though my soul is blank.

Empty.
That's how I feel.
But I'd rather feel empty than unhappy.

I don't need somebody to complete me,
And the thought of being alone need not sadden me.
Fate will be kind to me in time,
Cause there's much more to life,
Than just being kissed and held tight.

For now, I choose to be alone.
I shall soon move on.
Let love come my way, if it will.
But surely, life would go on even without it.
