Fireflies
about a love that was lost

"Fireflies"

In grassy fields,
of fireflies.
A lonely girl;
quietly sighs.

Silent dreams of,
the passing days.
A river flows;
along it's way.

A songbird sings,
of guilded cage.
The poet writes;
another page.

Windy peaks of,
lofty mountains.
Lovers kiss by;
gentle fountains.

Of love now lost,
she'll softly cry.
In grassy fields;
of fireflies.
