Arguement with myself!
The wavering flame
Enlightens the room
Yet not my soul
For it is dark
With fear

Lightness of spirit
Once held my heart
When dewy youth
Moistened disappointments
Of life

Half a century aged
Yet what have I learned?
To be cautious, fearful
Of what may afflict
My body or mind

No! I refuse
To relinquish my youth
To this adage of years
Piled upon me
By time

I leap from these
Years as a yearling
Awake to the possible
Adventures of spirit
Yes, I am Aware!

I dance without
Care
I laugh without
Reason
I love
I live
I am
Alive
