A Fallen Hero

Verse:1
God graced the setting to His own taste,
Sweet and gentle music plays here today,
I'm overwhelmed as Amazing Grace plays.
Soothing all in the room filled with grace.
I sit there in sorrow, and many tears I cry.
Why did this young Soldier have to die?

Chorus:
Across the room a fallen hero's coffin lays,
A soldier who died for the freedom he saved,
He died as he lived with honor and respect.
One of a few who served, truly America's best.
God has welcomed his honorable son home,
Amazing Grace, no sweeter music I've known.

Verse:2
His soul's now in heaven with God his Master.
He will live in peace and never fight hereafter.
In God's eternal home there is no wars to fight.
Forever he will be safe from the horrors in life.
He is now with God's in His heavenly home,
For eternity he will live never again to roam.

Bridge:
I pay this honorable soldier my last respects.
To thank him for America he died to protect.

Repeat Chorus:
Across the room a fallen hero's coffin lays.
A soldier who died for the freedom he saved.
He died as he lived with honor and respect,
One of a few who served truly America's best.
God has welcomed His honorable son home.
Amazing Grace no sweeter music is known.
