Trying only to fail,
It gets so old. I’m not good enough, Or so I am told. You only seem to care, About your own life. Fuck what I think, And my personal strife. The world is yours, To manipulate and use. Changing what you want, Hold your match to the fuse. You watch it explode, Right in your face. And you dare to wonder, Why things are out of place. You were my best friend, Whom I could always confide. Now I’m your worst enemy, And it hurts me inside. How can you sit back, And wonder why? It’s the same old shit, And the same old lies. You yearn for the best, And days gone by. You want things back, Before they all went awry. Well fuck all that! Kiss the past good-bye. You will never change, No matter how hard you try. Just try to remember, When you’re finally all alone. There was always one star, In the sky that brightly shone.
