Forbidden Secret

I have a little secret,
One that you’ll enjoy.
A secret that’s for everyone,
Man, woman, girl, or boy.

I hold within a power,
Or a gift, if you will.
I might be inclined to show you,
Just stand very still.

For this power is unlike most,
As you will soon see.
You’ll be shocked when I tell you,
And you’ll say it cannot be.

For I hold the power of life,
As well as that of death.
I can decide who will die,
And take their final breath.

Snicker now if you will,
You won’t once your time has past.
I see your hands are shaking,
Don’t worry, it will all be over fast.

Why not beg for your life,
Like all the others try.
Sometimes it does work,
And you won’t have to say good-bye.

Do you still doubt my power?
I wouldn’t if I were you.
For today will mark your end,
Your moments left alive are few.

To no longer see your son and wife?
