Just when you think life is simple,
It goes and knocks you down. When your mind finally settles, New thoughts cause you to drown. It’s funny when you think about it, The same situations day by day. New people playing the old roles, Changing the script in their own way. I find old wisdom, Lying all around me. It’s all melting away, Like an eagle flying free. I close my eyes and swallow down the pain, That is building deep inside. Days go by with no sign of release, All the longer I am forced to hide. These times will pass like all the rest, And I can pick up the remains. Return to my normal life, Away from such sorrow and pain. Piecing together melted wisdom, To help prevent my fear. Until one more problem comes, To see it all disappear.
