Mirrored in your eyes
Mirrored in your eyes, I see a me that cannot be. For love surrounds that form that is not me, and yet must be. Looking through my walls, you see past pain to see just joy, essence of a soul, I try to hide from you, from all. Mirrored in your eyes for me to know, for me to see, wrapped up in your love, mirrored back to me. © 1999 Kåre Enga [1999-05, Michigan] Note: For Keith Hays of Illinois who was kind enough to look inside of me and give me my voice back (and for Bill Baker for his hug). It is because of their kindness, I now can write. This is the poem that started me writing.
