Staring out at the moonless night
I saw the darkness shining bright. As crickets swooned I thought I might. Watching the sight. Watching the sight. The darkness draped me like a coat. The sky itself, it seemed to gloat While I swayed in my little boat. And there I float. And there I float. Nature's beauty brought me to tears. Serenity released my fears. I could have stayed there all my years. Not having cares. Not having cares. While I pondered the day awoke. A punchline to a sad, sad joke. A wave reached up, gave me a soak. I lost night's cloak. I lost night's cloak.
