What Are We? (Free Verse)
A poem about confusion of a relationship. Friends or more?

What Are We?

My thoughts revolve around you,
Around us.
What will happen,
In the mere days ahead?
What will happen,
In the future?

Confusion floods my mind,
As I second-guess us,
As I second-guess your feelings.

Is this all true?
Is it really so?

I never trust myself,
I never trust my own judgement.
There are times that I am positive,
Of the future,
That it will include you,
But there are times I am not,
Thinking that it is all a cruel joke.

So tell me,
What is all this about?
What are we?
