To throw off the garments of city life,
And to return forever to nature. It's my one simple wish, Leave all thought as human and adapt creature. Spend days by the rippling lake, That the simplest breeze sends in waves. Laying along the soft grass, Let my mind wander in a daze. What powers may roam above, Give me wings that I might fly. Make this world mine to explore, From the world of clouds in the sky. Feel the cool wind brush across my face, It sends my mind into a race, Pushing all else into endless space. I only want to know this place! The sun begins to set, The cries of birds fade away. Night lingers ever closer, Forced to leave this place, fade like the day.
