Scorching heat and sizzling sand,
Spread over acres and acres of land. A lonely soul, barely clothed, Sat lost in thought of the one she loathed. Tears cascaded down her cheek. She felt humiliated, hurt and meek. Just when she thought happiness had left without a trace, Fond memories ignited her sullen face. But alas! It had become far too late. Scavengers awaited her torrid fate. She wished, her death, a little longer she could tarry, For now, in her heart, newfangled love she did carry.
