It was a dark night stranded on that lonesome beach.~0~ Shipwrecked alone wasn't like Gilligan's Island that's for sure.~1~ I tried to remember Robinson Crusoe from my days in high school.~2~ I remember writing a wonderful paper on the novel but to save my life I couldn't think of one page of the many hundreds that this shipwreck person would do to entertain himself.~3~ I guess I was to make the best of the dark night on the sandy beach.~4~ It was so dark that when you looked at the water and where the sand ended it seemed that the Earth just dropped off into the water and this was the end.~5~ I had to quit thinking the negative thoughts I would become restless and without my medication who knows what kind of hallitionations I'd be seeing.~6~ So much for Wellbrutin to quit smoking,~7~ no cigarettes anyway and no Wellbrutin to make me stop!~8~ Cigarettes had become my faithful companion.~9~

I felt as I sat on a nearby log that something was staring at me from the woods.~10~ I just didn't want to go into the woods until sunrise.~11~ The wonder of what could be lurking in there was just making my feet grow cold and clamy or was that because this just happened to be the day when I was to change my Menopause patch to release hormones.~12~

I looked to my right and there was eyes staring back at me.~13~ It was a sly little fox not older than a few months old and was so cute.~14~ I called to him in my high squeaky voice that all the animals loved and ask him to come here.~15~ He did and was so red.~16~ You could see by his large red feet that he was going to be quite a big fox.~17~ Back along time ago I used to have a white dog that looked and acted like a fox and I would ride him in my little red wagon.~18~ Those were the days.~19~ Trouble was nothing then.~20~ I wasted so many days wanting to grow up and now I wasted days wanted to be young once again.~21~ My newly found friend,~22~ the fox,~23~ slowly creeped up to me and I could see that we were going to be faithful companions.~24~ Animals always has a sixth sense about them and I'll bet he was going to see me through some troubled times.~25~ As always an animal would see me through.~26~

I prayed that night for help from the Creator.~27~ I knew only He could pull me through my fate at the time.~28~ I took one twig from a tree and lay it flat in the sand.~29~ I wondered how many more I would lay before I would be rescued.~30~ Right now though this one twig was symbolic of my first night on the sandy beach among the galaxy of stars.
