A territorial invasion
swept through swiftly in the night; The miscreants stole into me And took what was mine, What was me. In a single instant A shimmering veil fell From my innocent eyes - Corruption and deceit lay before me. I cannot get back what was stolen, And an emptiness remains, Yet also a feeling of betrayal, A violation of my trust In mankind.
