Like a candle flame flickering in the wind, she jumped from leaf to leaf. The flame, that marked the location of her essence, shifted color as it moved from tree to tree. Changing from ultra violet through the visible color spectrum to infrared, the flame would momentarily shift form when it dropped from the trees to cross a wide expanse of ground. The forms she assumed were random; a squirrel with a flaming tail, a rat with fire ears or a wood nymph with fiery red eyes.
Coming to a clearing, Flicker paused studying the creatures asleep around the smoldering campfire. There were two of them, a large wolf curled beside a chain mail clad figure. Dropping from the tree, Flicker took the form of a five-foot tall woman. Her hair was bright red tresses of flame flowing from her head and her cloths were scarlet silk-like flames covering her body. As she glided across the clearing, her shape changed to that of a wolf with fire red fur and a blazing tail.
Once in the center of the clearing, Flicker stepped into the fire pit and sank into the hot coals. The coals blazed up, there warmth feeding her and giving her new strength while she waited for morning. When morning came and the chain mail clad figure woke up, he found a woman standing in the center of the fire pit smiling at him.
Flicker can take on any shape she wishes. However, she prefers the shape of a human or humanoid woman. Her main weakness is water, which will destroy her. She is destructive, but only when she wants to be or becomes angry. Flicker can mirror the emotions of whatever creature she is confronting.
