You are most charming,
An empress of sorts,
A desire to a whole nation.
To think that it was I
That you said yes to,
If only for that one moment.

In the parlor with the candlestick,
The wax falling upon my chest,
You, Mrs. White, teased me so.
Mysterious to the touch,
For you knew all too well
How to seduce another.

The balls of the billiard table
Rolled so casually under our skin,
And though you had said
You did not enjoy such things,
You still moaned
And you still sighed.

A moth you were then
And a moth I am now,
Eternal to your light.
So near you were
In this unforgiving world,
And now so far...
