Prompt: Write a poem about the atom bomb.I picked a random number from Lansingerland "Poetry Forms. My number was 32. How ironic that it would be this poetry form. I did it in a string of four stanzas.

Paper lantern/Little Lantern/Lanterne:

How do you write a Little Lantern?

Building up:
First line: 1 word
Second line :3 words
Third line: 5 words
Fourth line: 3 words
Fifth line: 1 word

The only thing you have to do afterwards is to center the poem, to reach the lantern effect.

Hiroshima
Faced the devastation,
Sixty years ago this month
A-bomb leaves only
Ashes

War
Disgrace of mankind
The taking of innocent lives
Under pretense for
Freedom

Nagasaki
Was the next
The first was not enough
Declaring we are
Invincible

Humanity
Loses its meaning
When it is snuffed out
Like some candle
Extinguished

Author's Note: Please do not take this as a singular view on my thoughts of what World War Two was all about. It is only a small portion expressed on this one moment of time. Thank you.
