My Darling, Darling, Mr. Dahl
Quizmo LaGrande My darling, darling, Mr. Dahl, Coated in chocolate, Offering scrumptious peaches Larger than life, Grander than pure imagination. Champion to pen A mystery or fantasy Yet writing between my lines In invisible ink, Love letters Just to me. No witches or giants Could twit nor fault Your incredible grace, Each word hit its mark— My heart’s special place. Roald, my dearest, Willy Wonka to the world, A fantastic fox to many, Yet loved by all, Please meet me in our special place Where you can whisper wonderful tales of the unexpected That I will carefully stash Between my lines, In invisible ink— Love letters Only to me. * (Dear reader may I ask you please, promise, never, never, seize an opportunity to tell, or whisper, write, or even yell, my other favorite Wonka fan, Mr. Wilder, now that’s a man!) * * *
